One of the easiest ways of making your Guitar sound cleaner and sharper with more sustain is to replace the nut with one made of Bone.  I’ll take you guitar and make a new nut by hand from Bone….
A blank piece of bleached bone before cutting to shape….

First reduce to the correct thickness to fit the nut slot….

Then grind down to the right shape….

Mark the spacing for the string slots….

Finally cut the slots to the correct depth to give the right action height at the 1st fret….
