Here’s a classic looking Strat, Just needs a bit of a clean, I think had a bit of damp at it.
Nothing too bad,
but that’s what I got off the face of the fretboard.
The frets themselves were also a little corroded..
so gently polish them with steel wool
It’s difficult to clean the pickup covers in-situ, so I took each one out in turn. It also meant I could better clean around the pickguard.
The same with the control knobs.
While the pickguard was off I also cleaned the pots’
Most of the screws in the bridge were a little rusted so I pulled them all out to clean each one with a wire brush and a dremel.
Lastly of course, the jack socket.
