Here’s a thing, Don’t really use your tremolo. A simple answer is to just screw the trem’ claw sprigs in so that the tremolo sits flat on the body. If you want to increase the sustain then you need to add a small block of wood between the tremolo block and the body.
The block needs to be an exact fit mind you.
That’s where it’s got to go.
a nice snug fit.
A little spot of glue to keep it in place.
Put the springs back and tighten the claw springs a little more than normal.
Much more contact now, between the tremolo block and the body.
While it’s on the bench it also had a full setup, starting as ever with the neck relief….
There it is finished. No tremolo but stays in tune a lot more accurately and has a better sustain.
