Got a few problems with the nut on this one.  The “G” string is way too low and buzzing dreadfully.

Looking closely at the nut, there lies the problem…

Yeh, there’s the problem, not fitting well.

The best option is to replace it with a new one.  I do like good old fashioned bone.

Chop it down to roughly the right size.

and square the ends off to fit nicely.

and round off the top.

Mark up the string slots.

Glue it into place..

and cut the string slots

How about that then…..

There it is.  now playing nicely.
