I had a little time so had another go at the custom build.  I’ve got a pair of Gibson pickups which I’m going to use, the trouble is they don’t quite fit!

Not a big problem; first mark out just how big the pockets need to be…

…and use my smaller router to gently enlarge the pockets…

I’m still going to use the single coil pickup from the original guitar, simply because there will be a hole otherwise! I did however change the cover for a silver one to match the humbuckers.

It’s coming along.  I don’t think I like the Vol and Tone knobs, I’ll change those later.  I also need a switch for the middle pickup but I’ll do that when I get the wiring done.
