A nice looking guitar, built to a budget. The owner was just a little unhappy with the tail. He’d already changed the stock bridge but is still unhappy with the way the new bridge is pulling up.
The wrap over bridge will tend to twist and pull up on the rear end when the strings are fitted and at full tension.
The owner wants a fixed tail to stop that happening.
Carefully working out exactly where it’s going to go.
That’s the line it needs to sit on.
And that’s the centreline.
You only get one shot at this, so it’s imprtant to get it right.
So that’s where the new posts need to go.
Mark the exact centre point.
and drill the holes for the posts.
The threaded insers for the posts fitted.
So there it is.
The finished guitar.
