Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all out there in Guitar-land…..

At least I managed to clear the bench for Christmas, so I don’t have any customers banging on my door, needing their instruments back for the holiday.  Now I can put my feet up for a rest.

Speaking of Christmas though. If any of you should get anything for Christmas that has strings but you’re not entirely happy with the way it plays, since it’s the last Saturday of the month you can find me in the MusicRoom, Lincoln from about 10.  As usual I’m available for free advice and estimates.  I can even carry out small adjustments and repairs while you wait (I may need to take more complicated jobs away to the workshop).

I do have a couple of longer term commissions that I’ve yet to start on mind you, a Jazzmaster and Telecaster Custom.  Both are going to take a while though, I’ve only just ordered the first of the parts and the Tele’ will need a fret-dress at some stage.

The Jazzmaster is a lovely piece of solid swamp ash….

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA So far all I have is the body, with a neck and neck plate on order.

The Tele’ is very different job.  It’s seen some service so it’s a re-build.  The finish on the body is in good condition so will just need a bit of a clean and polish to remove a few scratches…..

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERA The neck will need a little more TLC and a dress to even out the wear and tear…

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERAThis is going to be my last blog before Christmas, and probably the New Year so I just want to wish all my friends and followers a very Merry Christmas, with a particular Thankyou to Clive at Octagon Technology for all his help in getting this blog out there on the world-wide web/Facebook/Twitter etc.

Keep a look out for me next year.

“George”
