Had a quiet week or so but back to work with a rather nice Gretsch
Nothing much really wrong with it apart from a bit of buzzing around the 14th fret.
Looking closely there were a few slightly high and some worn frets so a fret- dress should sort that out, (the black marks are the high spots).
I also found the neck had rather an excessive set in the neck, I think I measured it at 0.045″ about 4 times what I would aim at for a descent setup. Of course to get a good level on the frets I need the fretboard flat first.
There, an afternoon of fileing and polishing…
All I have to do now is re-string and finish the setup.
