I rather like these, I think they’re great value for money. This one just needed a few tweeks here and there to optimise the playing action, apart from the neck pickup that is, which was dead…
It’s so new it’s still got the plastic under the bridge…
I thought it was most likely the switch but in the end it took a lot more to find the fault…
It tuned out to be the volume pot’ in the end, not a difficult fix, just took a while to track it down.
With it all back together it just needed a little TLC. Although it’s brand new the fretboard was a little dry so I gave it a light oil.
With the strings back a standard 5 point setup..
Neck set, a little excessive..
An easy fix with a turn on the truss-rod.
Not far off, just a turn or 2 on the bridge..Then the action at the 1st fret. A little high….so a gentle tease out with the nut file…With the playing action set check the intonation and the pickup heights and it’s good to goNice…
