A rather interesting looking guitar.
The owner’s looking for an upgrade, so out with the old..
and in with the new..New Pots, Pickups and Switch etc….
The screws on the bridge needed a bit of a clean while I was at it…..
The fretboard also needed a bit of a clean….
and oil…
There was also a bit of a problem with the nut. the “E” string sounded more like a Sitar! a real odd buzzing. It’s normally because the string slot has been cut a little too wide and low.
So create a little bone dust with a fine file and an odd off-cut of bone.
Pack it in tightly and add a little superglue. Once it’s dry just cut a new slot.
Along with the new electrics, a new set of pickups.
The new pots have Push/Push switches so each pickup can be coil tapped.
So there it goes. Ready for action…
