Another Ukulele that seems a little hard to play. A very high action so the first job is to reduce the action height at the nut. Unfortunately the nut on this one was hollow so cutting deeper slots was not an option. The only choice is to cut a new one from Bone.
Start with a blank of about the right size and grind it down to fit.
Once its the right shape and size to fit the Ukulele start cutting the slots to the right depth.
To complete the setup I also reduced the action height at the bridge by cutting the string slots a little deeper there as well.
Job done…
