Nice looking guitar, just not playing right.
The problem is with a couple of rather uneven frets.
Unless they’re sorted out it’s never going to play well.
With the strings off and the neck levelled it’s just a case of grinding the frets down to the lowest common point.
You can see where the 4th, 3rd and 2nd frets have had quite a bit removed yet the 1st has only just been touched.
Once the frets have been levelled, re-crowned and polished all it needs is a setup and it’ll be good to go..
First the neck set…
Then the action at the 12th fret.
The action back at the 1st fret…
and then the Intonation.
With it playing nicely the last thing is to check the pickup heights, to make sure it sounds right.
And there it is. better than new.
